Online applications for state and center-sponsored scholarship schemes for the session 2023-24 are invited on HP e-Pass official website from the students of the state and meritorious students, studying in any Government / Private institution, for scholarship awards under various scholarship schemes provided by the Directorate of Higher Education.
All scholarship schemes of the Departments of Higher Education will be covered under the ePass website, starting from online application filling by the beneficiaries, with the help of schools/colleges. This will ensure timely disbursal of the scholarship amount in the account of the beneficiary through DBT, after successfully submitting and verification of his/her online application form.
Take a printout of the online application form and submit the same along with the scheme-specific documents by the students to their respective institutions. Outside-state students are advised to mention the following address on the form while submitting the printout and other documents to the concerned institution.
The head of the institution and the scholarship in charge are directed to take all necessary steps to make the students aware of various scholarship schemes being run by the department and to submit the application forms of all the eligible students online within the stipulated time period.
It must be noted that a student cannot apply for more than one scholarship scheme (whether state or centrally-sponsored). But, if a girl child applies under the National Scheme of Incentive to Girls for Secondary Education (NSIGSE), she can still apply under any other scholarship scheme, if she fulfills all required conditions.
The institutions are fully responsible for verifying the wrong details of students’ documents such as Himachali bonafide certificate, income proof certificate, latest bank statement, scanned copy of Aadhaar, fee structure, copy of fee Receipts, etc. Maintenance allowance and fee i.e. admission fee, tuition fee, enrolment/register fee, and other compulsory fees for the year 2022-23.
All students are requested to open a bank account to receive a stipend, within Himachal Pradesh only. Also, ensure the filling of the proper account number along with the IFSC code, only then it will be seeded with the Aadhaar number for direct benefit transfer. All students are required to scan and uploaded the relevant original document while applying for the pre-matric and post-matric scholarship schemes online for SC/ST/OBC. Students also need to keep their bank account active for receiving scholarship amounts as the scholarship amount would be credited directly into the bank account of the scholarship holder.
A student can apply under one scholarship scheme and one incentive scheme, simultaneously, if he/she fulfills the required conditions of both schemes, but cannot apply for more than one scholarship (whether state or centrally sponsored) for a given session. The merit list has been posted on the HP e-Pass website, only the students listed on the merit list shall be awarded a merit-based scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:
• Students should apply for state and central-sponsored scholarship schemes through Aadhaar/ EID / Bank Account Number.
• The scholarship amount will be transferred to the students through DBT (Aadhaar-based payment) mode, as per the Govt. of India guidelines.
• In the case of renewal, it is mandatory for students to upload the receipt/bank statement of the scholarship and who received it last year.
• The last date of registration/submission of online scholarship applications by the students, studying within or outside the state will be published soon.
Pre-Matric Scheme:
Under the pre-matric scheme scholarship will be provided for ten months in a year for SC/ST/OBC students who are studying 9th and 10th classes in any Govt. recognized school.
Whose family annual income is not more than Rs.2, 50,000/- for SC students, Rs 2,00,000/- for ST students from all sources.
The scholarship will be renewed on the basis of the student’s behavior and attendance.
Post-Matric Scheme:
Under the post-matric scheme, the family annual income should not be more than Rs.2, 50,000/- for SC/ST candidates and Rs.1, 00,000/- for OBC candidates from all sources.

Students were requested to apply online through the HP ePass portal https://hpepass.cgg.gov.in for pre-matric and post-matric scholarship schemes.
In case of scholarship renewal, students should upload the receipt /bank statement on the portal or students can also upload the simple receipt with a revenue stamp countersigned by the concerned institutions on the portal. There is no provision for applicants to apply for renewal in case they have missed out on the previous year.
If a student is applying for the first time for a scholarship scheme in any course (BA/BSc/B.Com, M.A, M.Com, etc), he/she can apply as a fresh candidate and if once a student got a scholarship and studied continuously in the next class, then students will be applied as a renewal.
