Arunachal Pradesh State Scholarship Scheme 2019-20

The Government of Arunachal Pradesh invites application for the scheme of grant of stipend to the schedule tribes (ST) students of Arunachal Pradesh for pursuing higher and technical education. Fresh and renewal scholarship application form received after the last date will summarily be rejected.

The object of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to ST Students of Arunachal Pradesh so as to enable them to pursue various courses of higher studies approved by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

Scholarship scheme provide an opportunity to all the students that they can get scholarship benefits in their school and colleges. Student must fulfill the eligibility criteria in order to get the stipend otherwise he/she will not get the benefits of any scholarship provided by State or central government. The aim of www.thescholarship.in blog is to provide complete notification and details to every student.

Online scholarship application forms are invited from the eligible and interested bonafide APST students pursuing higher courses within and out-side the State for providing scholarship for the academic year 2019-20.

Interested and eligible students may apply online through NSP (National Scholarship Portal). Those students who have already registered may renew their online application by logging in the NSP portal.

Arunachal Pradesh Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship Scheme 2019-20:

1. The stipend will be admissible to students who belong to scheduled tribes of the states as notified by the central / state government and are permanent resident of Arunachal Pradesh.

2. Schedules tribe students who are in full-time employment are not eligible for award of stipend.

3. Students whose attendance is below 75% in any month shall not be eligible for award of scholarship.

4. Students against whom disciplinary action is taken shall not be eligible for scholarship.

5. Students who pursue their studies through correspondence or distance education mode shall not be eligible for stipend.

6. Students pursuing their studies in institutions not recognized by the state or central government like UGC, AICTE, MCI, DCI, BCI, CCH etc., shall not be eligible for award of scholarship/stipend.

7. Selection will be made on the basis of merit and reservation for SC, ST and OBC.

8. Scholarship/Stipends will be payable from the date of admission for a particular course provided. But if the students take admission after 20th day of month, the stipend shall be admissible from the next month onward.

9. A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail stipend or scholarship from any other source.

10. Scholarship/stipends will not be available for internship or practical training.

11. Students pursuing Degree+PG will receive stipend for degree only.

12. Diploma level students receive stipend for diploma only not for degree level.

Scholarship Renewal:

The renewal of scholarship is subject to the satisfactory progress and good behavior of the student for the particular course for which he/she applied for stipend. 31st October 2019 is the last to renew your 

If it is reported by the head of the institution that a scholarship holder, be reason of his/her own act of default has failed to make satisfactory progress or has been found guilty of misconduct such as resorting to or participating in strike or political activities irregularity in attendance etc, the stipend shall be discontinued.

Applying Procedure:

The details for filling up of online stipend application for academic session 2019-20 are as under:

Follow this 10 Steps for Applying Stipend:

1. Visit National Scholarship Portal (https://scholarships.gov.in).

2 Application ID and Password is mandatory to Login into the portal.

3. New Registration (For candidates applying first time): click on the ‘New Registration’ link in the homepage of the portal.

4. Fill up Fresh Registration for Academic Year 2019-2020 form and Submit.

5. On successful submission, Application ID shall be sent to the applicant’s registered mobile by SMS and Email which shall be the Login ID and the Password will be applicant’s Date of Birth.

6. Renewal (For registered candidates): the Application ID of academic session 2018-2019 shall be the Login D and Password shall either be Candidates Date of Birth or any other Password that has been set by the candidates.

7. To apply for GOAP Stipend for academic year 2019-20 (Fresh Case / Renewal Case), go to State Scheme’ tab in the homepage of the National Scholarship Portal and select Arunachal Pradesh.

8. Applicant can login from the ‘Login’ link (Fresh 2019-20 and Renewal 2019-20) in the homepage of National Scholarship Portal or can go to the State Scheme. Arunachal Pradesh and select ‘Scheme for Award of Stipend to the schedule tribe students of Arunachal Pradesh’ to apply for GoAP Stipend.

9. Copy of confirmation page has to be submitted in the respective institution and request the Institute authority to verify their online applications. The nodal officer of concerned Institution has to ensure timely verification of the online application.

10. Candidate may check the verification status of their online application by logging in the NSP portal.

About Arunachal Pradesh Scholarship:

The stipend will not be admissible for the period when the institution is close for vacation. Stipend will be payable from the date of admission for a particular course provided.

But if the student takes admission after 20th day of a month, the scholarship shall be admissible from the next month onward. The conditions for the award of stipend may be changed at any time at the discretion of the State Government without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

The Government of Arunachal Pradesh is pleased to enhance the rate of scholarship and book grant of Arunachal Pradesh ST students pursuing various courses of higher and technical / professional education.

The stipend will be provided strictly adhering to the rules and regulation. Application for award of stipend should be submitted in the prescribed format within the stipulated time.

A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail stipend/scholarship from any other source. If any other scholarship is awarded to a student, he/she can opt for either of the two, whichever is beneficial to his/her and should surrender the other.

The stipend is not tenable for subsidiary/additional course such as L.L.B. with M.A. etc. The student who undergoes of two courses is given stipend for one course only.

The head of the institution shall draw and disburse stipend to students. Stipend in respect of students studying outside Arunachal Pradesh shall be drawn by the sanctioning authority in form of demand draft and dispatch to the head of the institution for disbursement to the student.

Application for award of stipend should be submitted in the prescribed form within the date notified by the Govt. Attested copy of Arunachal Pradesh scheduled tribe certificate, attested copy of mark sheet of last examination passed.

Application shall be submitted through the Head of the Institution to the concern sanctioning authority. Incomplete and late application will be rejected. Offline applications shall not be entertained under any circumstances.

Alert: While selecting name of Scheme. Do not select any other scheme except “Arunachal Pradesh State Stipend Scheme”. If the same is not available contact DHTE for support.
