Pre Matric Scholarship for Minorities

GOI Pre Matric Scholarship 2022-23:

The main objective of the pre-matric scholarship scheme is to encourage parents /guardians from minority communities to send their children to school.

The GOI scholarship award will be given to study in any government-recognized school from the 1st to the 10th class. The scholarships will be offered for the full course and the maintenance allowance will be provided for ten months only.

GOI Pre-Matric Scholarship Eligibility:

  • Candidates pursuing studies from 1st to 10th class.
  • The parent’s annual income should not be more than One Lakh rupees from all sources.
  • Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the previous examination
  • Candidates may register their scholarship application online on NSP (National Scholarship Portal) website scholarships.gov.in.
  • 30% scholarship shall be reserved for female students of minority communities.

Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities

Post Matric Scholarship 2022-23:

The main objective of the post-matric scholarship scheme is to provide a scholarship award to eligible and meritorious candidates who belong to the minority community to enable them good opportunities to study higher education and enhance their employability.

The GOI scholarship award is applicable to study in India only from any government-recognized college or university.

GOI Post Matric Scholarship Eligibility:

  • Candidates pursuing studies from 11th to Ph.D. (Technical and vocational courses).
  • The parent’s annual income should not be more than Two Lakh rupees from all sources.
  • Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the previous examination.
  • 30% scholarship will be reserved for female students.
  • The scholarship will be given for the full course.
  • The post-matric scholarship scheme will be implemented only through State Govt.
  • The scholarship will be canceled or stopped if he/she fails to obtain 50% marks.
  • Scholarships will not be provided to more than 2 students from the same family.
  • The applicants obtaining scholarships under this category should not apply for any other stipend.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Minorities

GOI Merit cum Means-Based Scholarship 2022-23:

The main objective of the merit cum means-based Scholarship (MCM) Scheme is to offer financial support to poor students who belong to the minority community.

MCM scholarships are available to study anywhere in India and will be awarded through State Govt. to pursue professional and technical courses.

GOI Merit cum Means-Based Scholarship Eligibility:

  • Candidates pursuing technical or professional courses from any recognized institute.
  • The parent’s annual income should not be more than 2.5 Lakh rupees from all sources.
  • Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in the previous examination.
  • Candidates who take admission in other than Category `A` Convenor Quota are also eligible to apply for the Government of India scholarship scheme.
  • Selection will be made on a merit basis.
  • Reimbursement of the full course fee is applicable to the students studying in listed All India Institutions.
  • A beneficiary under this scholarship scheme should not apply for any other scholarship for pursuing the same course.
  • The income proof certificate will valid only for 1 year.
  • An Aadhaar card number is also mandatory to receive scholarship payments.
  • 30% of the scholarship is fixed for female students of the minority community.
