Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means (SVMCM) scholarship scheme 2022-23 for students of UG and PG courses in general education and other professional courses excluding (Engineering and Medical).
The Swami Vivekananda merit-cum-means scheme has been introduced for providing financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students of West Bengal State.
The students of post-madhyamik levels in regular courses who are domiciled in West Bengal and studying in one of the educational institutions of this State after passing out from the State Board.
Higher Education, Science & Technology and Biotechnology Department, Government of West Bengal invite Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship application online for the year session 2022-23.
Desirous students may visit the SVMCM official website https://svmcm.wbhed.gov.in and apply online. The last date for filling out online application for SVMCM (both fresh & renewals) has been extended up to 25-03-2022.

Under MCM, a total of six types of schemes are available for students of different educational levels. The amount is provided depending on the level, of course, a candidate is pursuing. The six types of scholarship amounts provided have been detailed below:
1. Scholarship at Higher Secondary Level:
Eligibility:
To apply for higher secondary, it is mandatory for the applicant to have secured a minimum of 75% marks in MadhyamikPariksha or equivalent. It is also important for the students to have enrolled themselves in Class 11th on passing Madhyamik Pariksha.
Amount:
The amount provided to selected students under this scheme will be Rs. 1000/- per month.
2. Scholarship at Undergraduate Level:
Eligibility:
In order to apply to the SVMCM scheme, the candidates will be required to obtain a minimum of 75% marks in their Secondary examination or its equivalent.
Only those students who have secured admission in the 1st year of UG courses in General Education / Medical.G.N.M/ Para Medical /Engineering / Nursing or Diploma courses after passing the Higher Secondary examinations are eligible for this scheme.
Amount:
The candidates selected under this scheme will be awarded an amount of Rs. 1000/- to Rs. 5000/- per month.
3. Scholarship at Diploma or Polytechnic Level:
Eligibility:
The students who have enrolled themselves in any polytechnic or diploma courses after passing the high school examination are eligible to apply under this scheme.
To fulfill the eligibility criteria, all candidates must have secured a minimum of 75% marks in the examination.
Amount:
The selected candidates will be awarded an amount of Rs. 1500/- per month.
4. Scholarship at Post Graduation Level:
Eligibility:
To apply for an SVMCM, it is mandatory for the applicant to have secured a minimum of 55% marks in the honors subject or it’s equivalent.
It is also important for the students to have enrolled themselves in any post-graduation program after passing graduation courses.
Amount:
The amount provided to selected students under this scheme will be between Rs. 2000/- to Rs. 5000 per month.
5. Kanyashree Scheme:
Eligibility:
Under the SVMCM scheme, Kanyashree recipients having a valid K-2 ID and pursuing P.G courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science stream from a recognized West Bengal University are eligible to apply.
The candidate must have secured at least 45/% marks at the graduation level examination. The Kanyashree applicants are not required to submit a certificate of income or affidavit.
Amount:
A one-time grant of Rs 25,000 on completion of 18 years.
6. M.Phil/ NET-LS/NON-NET Research Fellow:
Eligibility:
The students who have enrolled themselves under Ph.D. / M.Phil courses after passing the post-graduation examination are eligible to apply under this scheme.
To fulfill the eligibility criteria, all candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
Amount:
The selected candidates will be awarded an amount of Rs. 5000 to Rs. 8000/- per month.
Eligibility Criteria for MCM:
1. Not exceeding Rs.2,50,000 per annum (Except Kanyashree beneficiaries and Non-NET MPhil, Non-NET Ph.D., and NET-LS Ph.D. students).
2. Students should satisfy the Category wise eligibility criteria as per the list below:
3. At least 75% marks in aggregate (excluding the marks secured in the optional elective subject, if any]
4. Students who are enrolled after passing out in Secondary (M.P.) Examination or its equivalent as stated above in the same year of application for the first-year Diploma (Polytechnic) courses H.S. Examination.
5. Candidates opting for the scholarship and found eligible, will not be allowed to enjoy any other stipend for the same course
6. However, one-time grants or assistance received from any source, or free or partly free studentship allowed by the host institutions will not debar the students from availing of the benefits of the Scheme.
How to Apply for SVMCM Scholarship Online for 2022-23?
Before you start filling up the online application form, please ensure that the requisite attachments/annexures are ready for submission.
All the mandatory information must be entered correctly to successfully submit the online application form.
The online filling-up of the application form is interactive in nature and online guidance will be available while filling up the form.

Currently, the Backward Classes Welfare Department has a separate Commission, continuing programs to provide backward classes with social justice, educational incentives, and financial assistance to the community.
With the last date for application approaching, students are encouraged to avail of this opportunity to further their education. The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance, and more, easing the burden on students and their families.
Eligible and desirous students can apply online through the e-Pass official website https://karepass.cgg.gov.in and apply before the last date. Students can then later check and track the Karepass scholarship status online at the e-Pass website.

Karnataka Epass Scholarship Scheme Details:
Organization Name: Karnataka Backward Class Welfare Department
Applicants who belong to SC and ST categories and whose parent’s income is not more than Rs.2 lakhs per annum from all sources are eligible to apply.
Those belonging to Backward Class (BC), Extremely Backward Class (EBC), and Disabled whose parent’s income is not more than Rs.1 lakhs per annum from all sources are eligible for kar epass scholarship.
Students with a minimum of 75% attendance are eligible to apply to the scheme.
Applicants who are studying post-matric in college are recognized by the Karnataka State Govt.
Students admitted under any sponsored quota or management quota seats are not eligible.
Students who are pursuing part-time or online courses are not eligible for the scheme.
Economically Backward Class students studying inter or any equivalent courses.
How to Apply for Karnataka Scholarship Application Online?
Applications invited from eligible backward classes students studying post-graduate courses for 2023-24 scholarship applications online. So, students are requested to apply for fresh and renewal applications on or before last date.

IRDP Scholarship Scheme
It is to inform all the eligible students that the HP e-Pass portal reopens for the Kalpana Chawla scholarship scheme and other schemes for the academic year 2023-24 for fresh/renewal applicants. No application form would be entertained after the last date.
Under this scheme, an amount of Rs.15000/- (Fifteen Thousand) will be provided to the student per year. It will be given strictly on 10+2 merit declared as such by the H.P Board of School Education, Dharamshala to the students of Government / Government Aided / Private schools affiliated with the H.P. Board of School Education.
Scholarships will be awarded to the girl students who take admitted as regular students in any recognized post 10+2, academic, professional, or technical course from any government-aided or recognized private institution for its full term subject to satisfactory performance each year.
The scholarship will be renewed and carried on till they complete the degree/diploma/certificate course. All the eligible students will have to apply online and submit the application along with a 10+2 certificate, the next successive passing class/ diploma certificate/admission certificate directly to the Director of Higher Education.
Kalpana Chawla Scholarship Scheme Details:

The scholarship will be awarded each year to the top 2000 meritorious girl students of all study groups i.e. Science, Arts, and Commerce stream based on the passing ratio in each group as per the merit list supplied by the H.P. board of school education.

Rs. 15000/- per annum
How to Apply for Kalpana Chawla Scholarship 2023-24?
All eligible and meritorious Students can register on the portal by using the link https://scholarships.gov.in.
After registration on the portal, students may apply for the scheme.
Students also need to submit the printout of the online application form along with all the necessary certificates directly to the head of the institute.
Students must submit the previous year’s mark sheet (both semesters) for renewal application and a 10+2 mark sheet for fresh registration.
Printout copies of all documents uploaded must be submitted at the academic branch.
The income certificate should be in the name of the parents and the certificate should not be older than one year.
2024 is the last date to apply online at the NSP portal.
Scholarship Renewal:
The scholarship award will be renewed every year till the completion of the degree/diploma/certificate course. For renewal, students must upload the latest bank statement of the bank passbook and should submit the receipt of the previous session to the academic branch.

Himachal Pradesh is pleased to notify the following guidelines for the implementation of the scholarship of Thakur Sen Negi Utkrisht Chhatravriti Yojna for 2023-24 in the H.P. Education department.
This scholarship will be awarded to the top 100 female and 100 male students who belong to the tribal community of Himachal Pradesh by the H.P. board of school education, strictly on the basis of merit 10+1 and 10+2 classes in a recognized institution within or outside the state. The renewal in +2 will be subject to satisfactory performance in the 10+1 internal examination.
The scholarship will also be given in case the eligible students take admitted in any professional/technical course after matric, in any recognized institution within or outside the state, however, it will be limited to a maximum of 2 years after matric. The renewal in the second year will be subject to satisfactory performance in the first year of the course.
Under this scholarship scheme, an amount of Rs.11000/- per year will be given to each eligible student for successive two years after matric. That the eligible students must belong to ST of HP as declared by the H.P. Government from time to time.
How to Apply TS Negi Utkrisht Chatravriti Yojna 2023-24?
The eligible students will have to apply online on NSP’s official website https://scholarships.gov.in. After registration on the portal, students need to submit the scholarship application form along with the necessary certificates to the respective heads of the institution.
The heads of the institution will then forward the duly filled application form to the Director of Higher Education before the date notified by him in this regard.
Scholarship Renewal:
The scholarship scheme renewal will be subject to satisfactory performance.
