This scholarship is exclusively available for students who are pursuing their first postgraduate (PG) degree program.
Students who have already obtained a postgraduate degree are not eligible to apply.
Students who have been admitted to the first year of a postgraduate degree program in an eligible university or college are eligible to apply.
In the case of integrated programs, the scholarship will cover the PG component only.
Applicants must also be below the age of 30 to be eligible for these schemes.
The scholarship is applicable only to students who have been admitted to PG degree programs through the Regular/Full-Time mode of study.
Students pursuing recognized undergraduate (UG) degree programs as specified and notified by the University Grants Commission (UGC) are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The selection process for this scholarship will be conducted based on the merit of candidates, ensuring that the most deserving individuals are chosen. How to Apply for the National Scholarship For Postgraduate Studies 2023-24?
Applications for this scholarship will be invited once a year on the National e-Scholarship Portal of the Government of India. In addition to this, a brief notification will also be posted on the University Grants Commission (UGC) website www.ugc.gov.in to inform interested candidates about the application process.
Scholarship Renewal:
Scholarships awarded under this scheme will be renewed throughout the duration of the first-degree course, provided that the student maintains good conduct and meets the prescribed attendance requirements. The scholarship will be extended for the subsequent year of study once the first year of study is successfully completed. This renewal process ensures ongoing support for students pursuing their degree programs.
