Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojna (MMVY) is also popularly known as Chief Minister’s meritorious student scheme. The scheme has been started in 2017 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Technical Education, and Skill Development Department.
Students who are applying for the first time may visit the official website www.scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in or www.mptechedu.org to register.
You will receive a new user id/username and password. Using the same username and password, students need to fill out their scholarship form and upload the supporting documents.
After the registration student needs to submit his/her MMVY scholarship application along with necessary certificates to the concerned institute for verification.
Institute then verifies the MMVY scholarship application and the original certificates. Institute will also verify your bank account details to see if the application fee has been paid or not. And Institute then uploads the scholar list on the official website.
The Students should not submit any other scholarship application for MMVY for the current 2021-22 academic year in any other college/institution in India. Applicants must provide all the information correctly and complete the application form.
Students can take advantage of this scheme but it will be necessary to complete all other eligibility conditions. Students of any caste can avail the benefit of Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojna.
Student needs to fill out the agreement bond to take advantage of this scheme. The student must have a bank account in his name. The MMVY scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the student’s bank account.
Students should be residents of Madhya Pradesh State.
The student’s family’s annual income should be below 6 lakh rupees from all sources.
The student has received 70 percent or more marks in the 12th examination conducted by the Secondary Education Board or 85 percent or more in the 12th examination conducted by CBSE / ICSE.
Engineering: Any student who ranks under 50 thousand in JEE Mains examination. If the student gets admission to any government or a non-government engineering college, the full fees will be given by the state government. If the student gets admission to any private college the state government will be awarded 1.5 lakh rupees or the actual fee.
Medical: Students who got admission to MBBS / BDS course on the basis of the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) in any Govt. or private Medical / Dental College located in Madhya Pradesh. The fees payable to the students will be borne by the state government.
How to Apply for MMVY Scholarship?
If you are eligible for this scheme, then you will have to register first by going to MP official portal login or registration page https://scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in. The student also needs to upload the soft copy of specified documents online.
After filling online application on the portal student needs to submit the hard copy of the application form along with all the necessary documents to the respective institute. A student may receive an automated call or SMS on the registered mobile phone number regarding the application status.
