West Bengal Talent Support Programme Online 2022-23

Talent Support Programme (TSP) is a West Bengal Minorities Development & Government-sponsored program under Minority Affairs & Madrasah Education Department. WBMDFC has been providing various scholarship schemes for the Welfare of minority communities.

The scholarship will likely be rejected if he/she belongs to a non-minority community and if the student was unable to secure 50% marks in the last examination. Students must belong to one of these communities in order to apply for Talent Support Program Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis are officially notified as minority communities.

The scholarship stipend under the TSP is to be given only to the minority community students to support them to pursue from class 11th up to P.hD. Eligible students are to apply online at www.tsp.wbmdfc.co.in and kindly follow www.wbmdfc.org for further updates.

The student’s availing benefit under this scholarship scheme shall not apply to avail of any other stipend from any source under this scheme. If the committee found any student applied for more than one scholarship, then his/her applications will likely be rejected.

Students are requested to apply online only for fresh or renewal applications on or before the last date. Visit the official website to apply online and follow all the instructions step by step for both fresh and renewal. Students must have a Bank Account in any Nationalized Bank as the stipend would be done through Direct Benefit Transfer mode only.

The student should seed their bank account with an Aaadhaar card in order to receive the scholarship amount as the preference shall be given to Aadhaar-linked students. The students are requested to submit hard copies of relevant documents to the scholarship section of the institute before the last date for processing the application.

The application verification by institutions/universities is mandatory for approval. Students must take the hard copy of the application for verification, then scan and upload it online for a minority scholarship. It is recommended that the applicants should not change their course and the institute for any reason unless with prior approval from the state government for which the scheme of scholarship was awarded.

You should not apply as a fresh student if you are applying for renewal in that case your scholarship application shall be rejected. Students must provide all the given information is correct. In case the concerned authority found any false claimants later, the scholarship application will get rejected and the full amount will be recovered from the student.

Eligibility Criteria for Talent Support Program:

1. Students pursuing higher secondary, graduation, post-graduation, M.Phil, etc. courses are eligible to apply online.
2. Students should have passed with no less than 50% marks in the previous examination and be domiciled in West Bengal.
3. Annual family income of the student should not be more than Rs.2 (Two) lakh.
4. All fresh and renewal students must apply online on or before the last date.
5. The scholarship is awarded only one time in an academic year.
6. Only the students who are pursuing regular courses are eligible for this scheme.
7. Distance education students are not eligible for the Talent Support Program.
8. Only 2 children from the same parents may apply.
9. Institute must be located within the state.
10. Students should submit all relevant documents (photocopy of Aadhaar card, photocopy of Bank Pass Book having account number and IFSC details, annual family income certificate issued by Councilors/ MLA/ Gazetted officer, etc.) along with the printout of online application to the institution only.

How to Apply West Bengal Talent Support Programme Online?

  • Go to the www.tsp.wbmdfc.co.in website.
  • Click on Student Registration on the TSP portal.
  • Fill out the application form properly.
  • Create a username and password.
  • After that log in using the same username and password.
  • Fill out the Talent Support Program application and click submit button.
  • After successful submission, a Permanent ID (PID) will be generated.
  • Download the application form and submit the same to your institute along with the required document (Income certificate, copy of passbook).
  • Students should use the ID to check the application’s current status online.
  • Students should use the same ID for scholarship renewal.
