Odisha Prerana Scholarship Scheme 2020-21

The Odisha Government put online the post-matric scholarship 2020-21 application and widened its scope to encourage students from the underprivileged sections to pursue higher qualifications.

The post-matric scholarship has been a major scheme to facilitate higher and technical education among the weaker sections such as ST/SC/OBC/SEBC/EBC and minority students.

From current year online scholarship application of post-matric for SC, ST, OBC, SEBC, and EBC students studying whether inside / outside the Odisha, need to register freshly in Odisha State Scholarship websites instead of Prerna Portal.

All eligible students need to register for a new scholarship application. A new login ID can be generated using your Aadhar card. Therefore, all students are requested to apply to PMS by visiting www.scholarship.odisha.gov.in.

Students can log on to https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in and apply for the scholarship. The details for submission of fresh / renewal applications for availing are available online on the Odisha State official website.

The Odisha government has, over the last many years, already taken various measures to help & promote education for students who belong to the economically weaker section.

The govt is trying very hard to bring the SC/ST/OBC/SEBC and EBC people to the mainstream by enabling quality education. The govt monitoring more thoroughly the implementation of the stipend and expand its supports for the students in the near future.

Eligibility Criteria for Odisha Scholarship 2020-21:

• Students should permanent residents of Odisha.
• SC/ST/OBC/SEBC students who are continuing their post matriculation studies in any recognized institute.
• The annual income of the family of the SC/ST student from all sources should not exceed Rs.2,50,000/- per annum.
• OBC/SEBC student’s family should not exceed Rs.2, 50,000/- per annum from all sources.
• OBC/SEBC students must secure at least 50% marks in the previous exam.

How to Apply for Odisha Scholarship 2020-21:

Students are required to fill up their application form online and register themselves through the Odisha State scholarship portal introduced by SC/ST Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department.

The students will have to submit the personal details in the online application form along with passport size photo, caste, and income certificates.

The completed forms will go to institutes for verification and then to the District Social Welfare Officer whose approval will lead to a sanction of the scholarship. The scholarship amount will be directly deposited in the bank account of the students.

Scholarship Application Renewal 2020-21:

All the eligible students belong to SC/ST/OBC/SEBC and EBC category who are prosecuting their study at post-matric are hereby informed that the filing of scholarship renewal applications 2020-21.

Eligible students who are continuing their studies in the same institution are advised to renew their applications online before the last date on scholarship.odisha.gov.in and obtain a printout copy of the renewal application form and submit the same to the concerned institutes, where they are studying, for further processing.

The renewal application will be allowed only at the student level. Students are advised to renew their applications from their respective IDs within the due timeline.

Students having an Aadhaar card number are requested to provide the same at the time of Renewal of application in the prescribed field, if not provided earlier. Applicants have to be very careful while entering their Bank account details while online submission.
