The main objective of the scholarship scheme is to encourage the children of 10 to 14 years age studying in any recognized schools will be eligible under this scheme.

Centre for cultural resources and training (CCRT) issued application form from the students who are eligible for cultural talent search scholarship.

CCRT scholarship forms are provided for talented students whose age will be 10–14 and want to grow their talent in cultural fields such as music, dance, drama, painting, sculpture and crafts.

The cultural talent search scholarship scheme aims at providing facilities to outstanding young children to develop their talents in various artistic fields.

Children in the age group of 10 to 14 years studying either in recognized schools or belonging to families practicing traditional art forms are eligible for the scholarship.

The centre for cultural resources and training provides the total number of fresh scholarships to be awarded every year will be 620, of which 100 scholarships are exclusively reserved for tribal culture (those who possess a valid ‘ST’ certificate issued by the competent authority).

125 are reserved for children of families practicing traditional performing & visual arts, etc. and 20 for differently abled (specially challenged) children. The remaining 375 scholarships will be treated as general scholarships.

Selection Process: CCRT Exam will be conducted in the months of May-June.

Basis of Selection: The scholarship awarded under the CCRT scheme is initially for two years and is renewable after every two years till the completion of the first university degree stage of education or up to the age of 20 years whichever is earlier subject to the awardees maintaining good progress.

Guidelines for CCRT Scholarship 2019-20:

• A scholarship holder shall not receive any other cultural stipend from any other source in the concerned field without prior approval of CCRT.

• There is no State/UT wise quota for grant of scholarships under the CTSS Scheme.

• All dispute and complaints including court cases etc. related with CTSS scheme will be settled within the jurisdiction of the Delhi High Court only.

• The CCRT reserves the right to introduce at any time such changes in the terms and conditions of the scheme as may be found necessary to serve the objectives of the scheme.

• Candidate should not apply or receive any other scholarship grant from any other source during the tenure of the CCRT scholarship awarded to him/her under the above mentioned scheme without the prior approval of the CCRT.

Duration:

The scholarship provided initially for Two years and shall be renew after every Two years till the completion of degree or up to the age of Twenty years, Subject to maintain good progress.

If the progress card are not submitted half-yearly on time or the progress of the candidates is unsatisfactory for the following two time, then the authority may discontinue or cancel the scholarship.

Children not continuing academic education beyond higher secondary stage, but wishing to continue their training in the respective cultural fields in which scholarship has been awarded, on full time basis and without undertaking employment etc.

shall continue to receive the scholarship grant, till the age of 20 (Twenty) years or the completion of training course, whichever is earlier.

Training:

The selected students will be called for training either in a appropriate institute for academic studies and training in the cultural field. The decision of the CCRT on the selection of the course of study and teacher will be final.

Where a child is required to shift to a new station and get admission in a new institution for specialized training, a letter from the Head of the Institution along with date of admission should be furnished to the CCRT.

Also where a change of the Guru becomes necessary due to unavoidable circumstances, prior approval of the CCRT for a new Guru/Instructor justifying the reason for change, must be taken.

Scholarship Amount CCRT Scholarship 2019-20: The scholarship amount will be Rs.3600/- per year.

Reimbursement of the amount spent on the training:

The total amount including the actual fee paid for the training to the Guru/Institution and the value of scholarship as permissible will be released on half yearly or yearly basis, only on a receipt of the detailed half yearly progress reports in the prescribed format available online www.ccrtindia.gov.in along with the proper stamped receipt duly signed by parent/guardian and Guru/Instructor respectively for the full amount sent through NEFT received for the previous session.

All payment of scholarship shall be made directly to the parents/guardians of the scholars. The parent/guardian is required to arrange for training of his/her ward under a professionally qualified and experienced artist in the field of scholarship who will send a joining report agreeing to impart training to the candidate, in the prescribed format.

Progress Report:

The parents/guardians will be required to send half yearly progress reports of their son/daughter/ward to the CCRT, in the prescribed format available on the official website www.ccrtindia.gov.in after obtaining it from the institution/Guru regularly under which the scholarship holder is placed for training.

The progress report for the first half year from Jan to June, should reach CCRT by 15th July and for the second half year from July to Dec, by 15th Jan of the next year positively. If the progress report of the student is continuously unsatisfactory for the two times or not received in time, then the scholarship will be discontinued and decision of the CCRT shall be final.

A certificate issued by the Head master/Principal of the recognized school/college where the candidate is pursuing his/her academic studies, to the effect that the scholar is a bonafide student of the Institution, must be obtained and submitted to CCRT every year, till the completion of scholarship.

Age Limitation: The student age must be 10 to 14 years

In exceptional cases, the lower age limit can be relaxed up to 2 (Two) years. In the case of children of parents practicing performing arts, the condition regarding attendance of school for academic education will not be imposed at the time of application.

But in the event of their selection, they must attend a school for academic education and their scholarship will be released only on receipt of a proper certificate from the Head of the Institution, which they will join for pursuing academic studies.

The payment of scholarship will start from the date which may be specified by the centre or from the date on which the admission is obtained in the approved course in an institution or with the approved Guru, whichever is later.

In the case of those studying with the Guru, the date of commencement of studies under CTSS scheme, will be the date of commencement of the course.

If any change of Guru/Teacher is necessary due to unavoidable circumstances in future, then the parent/guardian must take the prior approval of CCRT justifying the reason for change as well as submitting all the pending documents to be signed by the previous Guru/Teacher, otherwise the change of Guru/Teacher will not be approved.

The scholarship will be discontinued with immediate effect with a condition for the parent/guardian to refund the total scholarship amount disbursed till date.

In case the scholarship holder discontinues the training before the expiry of the period of scholarship without prior approval of the CCRT, the Centre shall have the right to cancel the scholarship and get the refund of the total amount spent on the scholarship holder till that date.

Fill the form with all mandatory details, attach all relevant documents and required number of specimens of the latest work. Application form complete in all respect must be submitted at below mentioned address. It will be rejected in case of postal delay or incomplete.
