01. Charminar:
Charminar well known as the tomb of the four minarets is a memorial situated in Hyderabad, India. The monument was constructed in 1591 by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, the Charminar has now become the symbol of Hyderabad.
Charminar is an impressive and beautiful square monument with every side measuring 20m and all sides having a pointed tall minaret. 02. Golconda Fort:
Golconda Fort is known for its magical acoustic system. Built by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah in 1525, it stands as the essence of Nawabi’s cultural heritage and splendor. This is one of the most magnificent forts in the country, located 11 Km on the western outskirts of Hyderabad.
The name Golconda originates from the Telugu words “Golla” and “Konda”. A marvel of architecture because of its acoustics and a resourceful water supply system, this area is purported to be the site where the priceless Kohinoor diamond was found.
Founded originally by the Kakatiyas in the 13th century, the existing structure was expanded by the Qutb-Shahi kings into a massive fort of granite with walls and ramparts extending some 7 km in circumference.
The fortress city within the walls was famous for the diamond trade and the Koh-i-Noor diamond is said to have come from here. Golkonda Qila is another tourist place in Hyderabad you must visit.

03. Qutb Shahi Tombs (7 Tombs):
The tombs form a large, close group built on a raised platform. Perhaps nowhere in the world will we find so many tombs as monuments in one place as here. With massive ramparts, bastions, and gateways, Golconda Fort was one of the most defensive and impregnable strongholds of its time.

04. Salar Jung Museum:
The Salarjung Museum is one of the best places to visit in Hyderabad Hyderabad is a unique art collection of a great connoisseur of art, Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, better known to the world as Salarjung III, a scion of an illustrious and wealthy family.

05. Nehru Zoological Park:

06. Chowmahalla Palace:
The Chowmahalla Palace also known as Khilwat Palace was the residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad, a dynasty known for its magnificence and wealth. This 18th-century palace has been restored and has been open to the public only since 2006.

08. Birla Planetarium:

09. Lumbini Park:
There are many parks in Hyderabad. Lumbini Park is another one located on Tank Bunk Road, alongside Hussian Sagar Lake and the remarkable Buddha statue. 11. Snow World:
Snow World is the first snow theme park and a great attraction place in Hyderabad. It is the biggest snow park in India. The famous Snow Park sprawls over a 17,000 sq feet area. It is located near Lower Tank Bunk Road, behind Indira Park.

18. Mrugavani National Park:
Mrugavani National Park is also commonly known as Deer Park as around 350 deer live in the park and it is home to 100+ different species of birds. Mrugavani National Park is located in Chilkur, Moinabad around 25 kilometers from MGBS Hyderabad, and spans an area of nearly 4 kilometers.
The Park provides many facilities for tourists as it organizes safari drives, nature trails, and snake shows to enliven the tryst of nature. The park also arranges nature camps for school children taking them for nature walks, bird watching, and safari rides.
A snake show with live specimens is an added attraction in the park. The park has an Environmental Education Center with an auditorium, a well-stocked library, and a museum with wildlife exhibits. There is an elevated viewpoint and a watchtower to gaze at the animals in close-up quarters.

19. Durgam Cheruvu:
One of Hyderabad’s latest appealing places is Durgam Cheruvu or secret lake, located near Madhapur, which is a lake encircled by massive rocks known as the Hyderabad rocks and dating back millennia. 20. Buddha Statue:
The major attraction of this lake is the 18 meters high, 350 tones monolithic statue of Buddha on the rock of Gibraltar. The tank bund is lined with 33 statues of great personalities of the state. Boating and Water Sports are a regular feature at Hussain Sagar.
It is the biggest standing monolith at 72 feet, put up as a fraction of the Buddha Poornima Project in the year 1985. In the center of Hussain Sagar (man-made lake), the 18 meters tall Buddha Statue is located on a platform of landmass.
Hussain Sagar Lake which is a link between the twin cities of Hyd and Secbad is one and half-mile long named after Hussain Shah Wali and covers an area of about 8sq.miles. Buddha Statue has been positioned on the rock of Gibraltar in the docile waters of Hussain Sagar.
The monumental sculpture was carved out of white granite rock. It was chiseled through 200 sculptors for two years. The Buddha statue was moved to Hyderabad in the year 1988. It was put up on 12th April 1992 on a pedestal after the early problems.
Affixed to Buddha Statue, Lumbini Park was opened with a boat ride to the statue from Lumbini Park, Bonsai Plants, and musical fountains. The complete environment is reflected in perseverance and peace. A trip to the Buddha statue is a superb experience by boat.

21. Lad Bazaar:
Near Charminar the famous Lad Bazaar, a shopping center specializing in bridal wear, and bangles of great beauty and dazzle. This is now known as Choodi Bazaar (Bangles Bazaar).
There are more than 350 shops selling bangles, bridal jewelry, saris, and artificial jewelry. These Hyderabadis bangles have become so popular in the Middle East. In the Oman yearly exhibition, these bangles are in great demand.
22. Gandipet (Osman Sagar):
Osman Sagar, also known as Gandipet, is a lovely lake located 20 kilometers west of Hyderabad. Mir Osman Ali Khan created this body of water by damming the Musi River in 1920. The plan was to provide water to the city.
It is the most popular picnic spot among Hyderabadis. It has been designed as a public recreation area, complete with lush green gardens and a swimming pool. Throughout the year, whether on weekdays or weekends, Gandipet draws visitors from all over the twin cities.
People spent the whole day amusing themselves with their family & friends and having a great time together. Most people carry their own food to Gandipet but you can also buy snacks and cold drinks at the cafeteria near Gandipet road.

Salar Jung Museum is a one-man collection of art. It was established in the year 1951. It is maintained by the Salar Jung Family. The family is one of the most illustrious families in Deccan history, five of them having been prime ministers in the erstwhile Nizam rule of Hyderabad-Deccan.
All the artifacts and art were collected by Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan, more popularly known as Salar Jung III. After his death, the entire collection was left behind without an inheritor. It was the family members of the late Nawab who got together to gift the fabulous collection to the nation as there could not have been a better proposal.
Salar Jung Museum is considered the third largest museum in India. It was inaugurated by the First Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. In the year of 1968, the entire collection of the museum and the library was shifted to the present building from Diwan Deodi.
The present building is spread over 10 acres of land and consists of 2 floors. It comprises 3 buildings namely, Eastern Block (Mir Laiq Ali Khan Bhavan), Western Block (Mir Turab Ali Khan Bhavan), and the Indian/Central Block. There are 38 galleries in these 3 buildings altogether. 27 galleries are present in the Indian/Central Block, 7 galleries in the Western Block and Eastern Block houses 4 galleries.

The museum has a rare collection of around 43000 art objects, 9000 manuscripts, and 47000 printed books. The collection consists of one of the most famous clocks that is a 19th Century British Musical Clock. This clock was sold by Cooke and Kelvey of England. Another attraction is the Veiled Rebecca, marble statue which was created by an Italian sculptor G B Benzoni in 1876.
Salar Jung Museum Clock Show Timing:
One of the main attractions of the museum is the British Bracket Clock. Inside the clock, there’s a special thing that makes a little toy man with a beard come out 3 minutes before each hour. When it’s exactly the 60th minute, he hits a bell to match the time and then goes back inside (eg. 10 times at 10′ o clock). This clock is really cool and a lot of people come to the museum every day just to watch the toy man hit the gong at each hour.

Museum Guidelines:
- No Smartphones (mobiles) are allowed inside the Museum without the purchase of a photography ticket.
- Cloak Room facility is also available to keep Mobiles/ Baggage/ Belongings on a payment basis.
- Visitors can keep their belongings in the cloak Room and can collect their belongings before the closure of the counter i.e. before 5.15 p.m.
- Children up to 5 years free. School children up to 18 years with id cards/Authorisation letters are allowed free entry.
- All Smartphone users are requested to purchase the mobile ticket.
- Penalty Rs. 500/- will be charged for using a mobile without a ticket.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited.
- Avail of the cloakroom facility located near the booking counter for depositing luggage.
- Do not touch the objects on display as they are prone to disfigurement.
- Try to avoid the use of cell phones in the gallery and take selfies.
- Do not carry notified objects such as knives, scissors, blades, razors, matchboxes, or lighters.
- Cooperate with the security personnel.
- Please use a garbage box and keep the surroundings neat and clean.
- If you are willing to make a comment or compliment, please use the suggestion book kept at the exit gate.
