The Government of Himachal Pradesh provides Kalpana Chawla Chhatravriti Yojana or also known as the Kalpana Chawla scholarship scheme for the top meritorious girl students of Himachal Pradesh state in order to inspire them for higher education.

All Government / Government aided colleges to invite scholarship application forms from the top and talented 2000 meritorious students of all study groups such as Science, Arts, and Commerce streams of their colleges, based on passing marks in each group and as per the merit list provided by Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education.

IRDP Scholarship Scheme
It is to inform all the eligible students that the HP e-Pass portal reopens for the Kalpana Chawla scholarship scheme and other schemes for the academic year 2023-24 for fresh/renewal applicants. No application form would be entertained after the last date.
Under this scheme, an amount of Rs.15000/- (Fifteen Thousand) will be provided to the student per year. It will be given strictly on 10+2 merit declared as such by the H.P Board of School Education, Dharamshala to the students of Government / Government Aided / Private schools affiliated with the H.P. Board of School Education.
Scholarships will be awarded to the girl students who take admitted as regular students in any recognized post 10+2, academic, professional, or technical course from any government-aided or recognized private institution for its full term subject to satisfactory performance each year.
The scholarship will be renewed and carried on till they complete the degree/diploma/certificate course. All the eligible students will have to apply online and submit the application along with a 10+2 certificate, the next successive passing class/ diploma certificate/admission certificate directly to the Director of Higher Education.
Kalpana Chawla Scholarship Scheme Details:

The scholarship will be awarded each year to the top 2000 meritorious girl students of all study groups i.e. Science, Arts, and Commerce stream based on the passing ratio in each group as per the merit list supplied by the H.P. board of school education.

How to Apply for Kalpana Chawla Scholarship 2023-24?
All eligible and meritorious Students can register on the portal by using the link https://scholarships.gov.in.
After registration on the portal, students may apply for the scheme.
Students also need to submit the printout of the online application form along with all the necessary certificates directly to the head of the institute.
Students must submit the previous year’s mark sheet (both semesters) for renewal application and a 10+2 mark sheet for fresh registration.
Printout copies of all documents uploaded must be submitted at the academic branch.
The income certificate should be in the name of the parents and the certificate should not be older than one year.
2024 is the last date to apply online at the NSP portal.
Scholarship Renewal:
The scholarship award will be renewed every year till the completion of the degree/diploma/certificate course. For renewal, students must upload the latest bank statement of the bank passbook and should submit the receipt of the previous session to the academic branch.

Every year the Karnataka State Government provides post-matric scholarships for all eligible students through the ePass application. It is one of the most important welfare measures initiated by the Karnataka Backward Class Welfare Department. The main aim is the educational upliftment of poor students.
Currently, the Backward Classes Welfare Department has a separate Commission, continuing programs to provide backward classes with social justice, educational incentives, and financial assistance to the community.
With the last date for application approaching, students are encouraged to avail of this opportunity to further their education. The scholarship covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance, and more, easing the burden on students and their families.
Eligible and desirous students can apply online through the e-Pass official website https://karepass.cgg.gov.in and apply before the last date. Students can then later check and track the Karepass scholarship status online at the e-Pass website.

Karnataka Epass Scholarship Scheme Details:
Organization Name: Karnataka Backward Class Welfare Department
Applicants who belong to SC and ST categories and whose parent’s income is not more than Rs.2 lakhs per annum from all sources are eligible to apply.
Those belonging to Backward Class (BC), Extremely Backward Class (EBC), and Disabled whose parent’s income is not more than Rs.1 lakhs per annum from all sources are eligible for kar epass scholarship.
Students with a minimum of 75% attendance are eligible to apply to the scheme.
Applicants who are studying post-matric in college are recognized by the Karnataka State Govt.
Students admitted under any sponsored quota or management quota seats are not eligible.
Students who are pursuing part-time or online courses are not eligible for the scheme.
Economically Backward Class students studying inter or any equivalent courses.

Applications invited from eligible backward classes students studying post-graduate courses for 2023-24 scholarship applications online. So, students are requested to apply for fresh and renewal applications on or before last date.

Himachal Pradesh is pleased to notify the following guidelines for the implementation of the scholarship of Thakur Sen Negi Utkrisht Chhatravriti Yojna for 2023-24 in the H.P. Education department.
This scholarship will be awarded to the top 100 female and 100 male students who belong to the tribal community of Himachal Pradesh by the H.P. board of school education, strictly on the basis of merit 10+1 and 10+2 classes in a recognized institution within or outside the state. The renewal in +2 will be subject to satisfactory performance in the 10+1 internal examination.
The scholarship will also be given in case the eligible students take admitted in any professional/technical course after matric, in any recognized institution within or outside the state, however, it will be limited to a maximum of 2 years after matric. The renewal in the second year will be subject to satisfactory performance in the first year of the course.
Under this scholarship scheme, an amount of Rs.11000/- per year will be given to each eligible student for successive two years after matric. That the eligible students must belong to ST of HP as declared by the H.P. Government from time to time.
How to Apply TS Negi Utkrisht Chatravriti Yojna 2023-24?
The eligible students will have to apply online on NSP’s official website https://scholarships.gov.in. After registration on the portal, students need to submit the scholarship application form along with the necessary certificates to the respective heads of the institution.
The heads of the institution will then forward the duly filled application form to the Director of Higher Education before the date notified by him in this regard.

Ministry of Labour and Employment providing Pre-Matric, and Post-Matric Scholarship 2023-24 for the children of beedi workers, IOMC (Iron Ore, Manganese Ore, Ore Mine Workers), LSDM (Limestone and dolomite Mine) Workers and Cine Workers. The scholarship scheme is also meant to cover the contract worker’s children of the above-given category.
Ministry of Labour and Employment providing welfare measures for the beedi workers with a view to improving their living conditions were under consideration of the State Government for some time past. After careful consideration of the matter, the Government is pleased to introduce this scholarship.
The objective of the scheme is to improve the living conditions of the beedi workers by way of giving scholarship grants under certain conditions to facilitate. The monthly income of the family should not be more than Rs 10000/- pm.
The Pre & Post-matric scholarship scheme will be implemented and managed by the Ministry of Labour and Employment. The Ministry of Labour and Employment will review the working of the scheme from time to time and take such steps as may be considered necessary. The Government may relax any of the provisions of the scheme and also add new provisions to the scheme if necessary.

Beedi Worker:
The monthly income of the family should not exceed Rs.10,000/- per month. The parents of the applicant must be a worker in one of the above categories with a minimum of 6 months of service.
Mine Worker:
The IOMC workers doing any manual, unskilled, highly skilled or clerical worker are eligible for taking all the facilities under various other scholarship schemes of Labour Welfare regardless of the remuneration paid to them.
LSDML Worker:
The candidates employed at the supervisory and manager levels are also eligible to take advantage of the facilities under various schemes regardless of the wage limit of Rs. 10,000- per month.
Cine Workers:
Not more than Rs.8,000- pm for monthly remuneration or should not be more than Rs.1 lakh which is paid by way of instalments.
Applicants belong to SC (Scheduled Caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribes) categories, which is applicable for 15% reservation for SC and 7.5% reservation for ST category students. Coverage for girls students should be 50% courage and cover all the worker children belonging to SC and ST categories who have passed the previous examination.
Eligibility Criteria:
The student should have passed the previous examination on 1st attempt.
Students who are studying through correspondence are not eligible for the scheme.
Students must have taken admission regularly in any Government-recognised general or technical course. (Medical/Engineering/Agricultural courses).
The scholarship scheme is not eligible for applicants who are studying in the same stage even after passing.
The Scholarship scheme is not eligible for students who have completed their educational career in one profession and still continued education in a different professional line such as LLB after BT or BEd.
It should be a government-recognised Institute.
Students should avail of any stipend from any other source under this scholarship scheme.
All students must have a bank account in their name.
More than 1 child of the same parents also should provide a separate bank account.
Each student is required to provide a separate phone number.
How to Apply for the Scholarship 2024?
The scholarship application should be in the prescribed format. The application can also be submitted on plain paper in a handwritten format.
All scholarship applications should be in the regional language. Applications must be submitted every year to the heads of the concerned institutes.
The Head of the institutes shall verify the given details of the student and forward the application to the Welfare Commissioner.
The Welfare Department will examine all the applications. All other scholarship applications shall be inspected thoroughly by the welfare department.
A minimum of 10% of the scholarship applications were found to satisfy the given eligibility criteria and verified by the concerned welfare department. Each year by the end of the month of November, the Welfare Department, sanction the scholarships.

The scholarship will be cancelled for the following reasons:
The scholarship will be cancelled and not renewed if any students are found to have secured a scholarship by incorrect statements.
If the students discontinue their studies, the scholarship will be cancelled or not renewed.
If the students change the subject or the institute without any prior approval.
If the student fails to maintain satisfactory progress he/she is poor in attendance or the student is responsible for misconduct / improper behaviour for which the scholarship shall not be renewed.
If the parents of the students cease to be Beedi / IOMC / LSDM / Cine workers.
If the students are found to have indulged in any one of the above following after getting paid, the scholarship amount will be recovered either from the student or from their parents.
