The government of Kerala has launched another scholarship to benefit the students and financially assist them in their studies. E-grantz Scholarship, Kerala

E-grantz scholarship is presented by an organization of Kerala state. It’s beneficiary is Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Other Eligible Communities (OEC) and Economically/Socially Backward Communities. Students must have persuade post-matric, pre-matric, degree courses or professional courses. The amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries account.

In this scholarship, the government provides the students with free ship cards for admission. Through these cards, students doesn’t have to pay fees in advance for admission. Day scholars as well as hostellers are also eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is only for one course per academic year. The collateral amount given in this scholarship is 30 lakhs or more. This amount depends on the caste of the beneficiary, family income and the course pursued.

Eligibility:

Academic Eligibility:

  • Students must be studying at a pre-matric/post-matric level from a recognized board/university.
  • Students must have secured admission under merit or reservation quota.
  • 75% attendance is a must for benefitting the scholarship.
  • Post-matric courses that are eligible are Degree, Diploma, Doctoral, Higher Secondary, Polytechnic, Post Graduate, Professional, and VHSE courses.

Category Eligibility:

  • Schedule Caste (SC)
  • Schedule Tribe (ST)
  • Other Backward Class (OBC)
  • Other Eligible Communities (OEC)
  • Socially Backward Communities (SBC)
  • Economically Backward Communities (EBC)
  • Must be a Permanent Resident of Kerala.

Income Eligibility:

  • There are no income limitations for students belonging to SC, ST, and OEC Communities.
  • For students belonging to the OBC category – The income limit is INR 1 Lakh per annum for +2 courses, Degree, PG, and Professional courses
  • For students belonging to other categories – The income limit is INR 1 Lakh for +2 course, Degree, PG, and Professional courses

Scholarship Rewards:

Different rewards are given to students based on different categories:

For SC/OEC Community:

  • 630 of the stipend amount is given to students studying in colleges that are at a distance less than 8 km from their residence.
  • 750 of stipend amount is given to students studying in colleges which are at a distance of more than 8 km from their residence.
  • 1500 of the stipend amount is given to students pursuing professional courses and residing in rentals.

For OBC Communities:

  • 160 of the scholarship amount is given to students pursuing 10+2 courses.
  • For Day scholars of PG and Professional courses get 200 whereas hostellers get 250.
  • For Day scholars who are pursuing polytechnic courses get 100 and for hostellers 150.

Procedure to Apply for E-Grantz Kerala Scholarship 2023-24:

E-Grantz scholarship can be applied either online or offline, according to your comfort. The application should be submitted before the last date. We have given below all the details and step-by-step procedures on how to apply for the scholarship online.

  • Click the given website link: egrantz.kerala.gov.in
  • Click the option “One-time registration”
  • Fill in the form with your Aadhar number and students(according to Aadhar card)
  • Click on the option “validate Aadhar”
  • Fill in the required details and register yourself by clicking on the option “register”
  • You can then use the registered email ID and password for student login.
  • After logging in as a student, Fill in all the details and successfully complete your profile.
  • You will be asked to fill in all the sections such as basic details, either details, bank details, upload details, and institution details.
  • After successfully completing your profile, click on the option “apply for scholarships”
  • A list of all the scholarships for which the student can apply is shown.
  • Search for “E-Grantz Scholarship” and click on it.
  • Fill in all the details and upload the documents and you are done!!!!

  • Enter the Aadhar number and DOB
  • Click the option “Track application”
  • Your scholarship status will be shown.
