Apply Israel Government Scholarship 2022-23

Online applications are invited from Indian nationals through MHRD’s website for the award of a scholarship offered by the Government of Israel for 05 months of research/specialization under the Israel Government scholarship scheme.

The scholarship is granted only for study in universities and programs approved by the Israeli Council for Higher Education. 31st December 2021 is the last date to apply for the Israel Government scholarship online.

Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for applying for the scholarship.

Qualification:

  1. For research /specialization: Master’s degree in relevant field with 60% marks or more for applying to the subjects Agriculture, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Environment Studies and Master’s degree in relevant field with 60% marks or more for the remaining subjects.
  2. For Hebrew Language and Literature Course: Students pursuing the post-graduate course in this subject may apply.

Basic Requirement:

  1. Proof of English or Hebrew language proficiency is a must.
  2. The applicant should meet the academic requirement of the Israeli University to which he/she applies. A scholarship will be granted only after the institute approves the acceptance of the candidate.

Value of Scholarship:

  • The terms and conditions of the scholarship will change every year according to the yearly budget of the Israel Government for this purpose.
  • The scholarship could be partial or full.

Partial scholarship includes:

  1. Part of the tuition fees
  2. Basic health insurance
  3. Monthly allowance for one academic year (8 months only)

The full scholarship includes:

  1. Tuition fee
  2. Basic health insurance
  3. Monthly allowance for one academic year (8 months only)

How to Apply for Israel Government Scholarship?

Indian candidates must submit their application form directly by hand or by post to the Embassy of Israel at the following address: The Embassy of Israel, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Road, New Delhi – 110011 on or before 30 December 2021.

Nomination and Final Selection:

  • A selection committee consisting of subject experts will interview the candidates. Based on merit, the nomination would be made. The nomination will be sent to the Government of Israel for final selection.
  • The nomination of a candidate by the Government of India does not, in any way, guarantee final selection or placement.
