Online applications are invited from eligible minority students for the chief minister’s overseas scholarship scheme for minorities or financial assistance for pursuing Post Graduate / Doctoral Courses in foreign Universities for the year 2022-23.

State Govt is showing interest in the economic development, social development, educational development, and the welfare of Minorities in Telangana State. Govt of Telangana has made many substantial steps for offering scholarships to minorities on a saturation basis. This initiative has encouraged many minority students to pursue their professional and graduate courses.

There is a number of opportunities available in India/ abroad in respect of qualification and jobs. Students from SC/ST/BC/Minority communities are unable to take advantage because of poverty and backwardness and helplessness to access the benefit of continuing studies abroad to make their lives better.

Students whose parent’s annual income is not more than Rs. 2.00 lakhs total from all sources are eligible for this scheme. In the case of Govt. employees, a salary slip from the employer is required. An income proof certificate is also needed in order to apply. Students must obtain the latest income certificate from any Mee Seva center.

Eligibility Criteria for Overseas Scholarship:

The student must belong to SC (Scheduled Caste) community and must be a native of Telangana State.
Parental annual income should not be more than Rs.5.00 lakhs (Two Lakhs).
First-class marks in graduation are a must for pursuing Post Graduate studies abroad.
First-class marks in post-graduation are a must for pursuing Ph.D. studies abroad.
Not more than one child from the same family.
To app cm, an overseas scholarship scheme for minorities candidates must have a valid passport.
Must have a valid GRE/GMAT and English Proficiency Test.
Students cannot change their courses.
33 percent of the scholarship will be reserved for female students.

National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme

No. of Scholarships:

A total of 500 students minority students can avail of this opportunity to pursue PG studies abroad.

Scholarship Amount:

A total of Rs.20.00 lakhs will be given to the students in 2 installments.

Age Limit:

The age limit for students shall not be more than 30 years.

United States of America (USA), United Kingdom (UK), Australia (AU), Canada (CA), and Singapore (SG).

Overseas Scholarship Selection:

The registered students shall be shortlisted for a grant or scholarship by a State Level Selection Committee headed by the Principal Secretary, Social Welfare.

After the Notification is issued by Govt. interested & eligible students shall apply online at https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in website on or before the last date. All desirous students for applying financial assistance to study abroad should apply online only from the month of August to September and again from January to February.
