Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, launched the YSR Sunna Vaddi scheme to empower women of the rural community. Empowering Women from rural communities helps the economy in many ways. They contribute strongly to the community. This scheme specifically aims at those females who work in self-help groups. Sunna Vaddi scheme is a Government Welfare Scheme undertaken by the Department Of Municipal Administration and Urban Development. It is first established on 24th April 2020. This scheme provides zero Interest rates loans to women working in self-help groups. Any woman working in SHG is waived from all the credits of the loans that she will be taking from any of the private or government banks in Andhra Pradesh state.

Eligibility Criteria:

Women in SHG must meet this requirement to be eligible for the scheme

  • Must be a Permanent Resident of Andhra Pradesh.
  • Must be a Female
  • Must be a member of the Self-Help Group.
  • Must belong to below poverty line
  • A loan that falls under the Non-Performing Asset of NPA is not eligible for the scheme.
  • Applicant must have a credit amount less than Rs. 5,00,000

  • Self-help group certificate
  • Income certificate
  • Passport size photographs
  • Loan papers

Procedure to Apply:

The application procedure is also undertaken by the Navasakam scheme. The beneficiaries are selected through a Navasakam survey done by the village volunteers.   • Visit the official website.
  • The home page will appear before you.
  • Click on the “Sunna Vaddi” option upper part of the page.
  • A list of districts appears before you.
  • Click on the district you live in.
  • Another page with various ULB names appears.
  • Click on the ULB name that belongs to you.
  • The beneficiary list will appear on the page.

Procedure To Know Your Status

  • Visit the official website karshak.ap.gov.in.
  • At the homepage, tap on the Know Status button.
  • Select crop year & season.
  • Now enter your Aadhaar card number following the submit button.
  • You can check the application status on your screen.
