University of Mysore

About University:

Mysore University was formed was established in 1916 by the Maharaja of Mysore. Mysore University at first had all the institutes under its wings.

Slowly, three additional Universities were formed. A decade back, another University was formed to cater to the distance learning and correspondent courses.

With other Universities in the education system, University of Mysore has now been able to improve its curricular and co-curricular activities. Today, the main idea is to exchange technical and cultural thinking across different colleges and institutes.

University of Mysore has 122 affiliated colleges and 5 constituent colleges, 37 post graduate departments, and 8 research centers. The University commands an exhaustive range of academic courses and many programs for the working employees.

About 55 courses are offered here for regular students. The research work constitutes projects which attract both national as well as international students. The University had twelve colleges under its supervision with 28 (Twenty Eight) subjects in Arts, Sci, Med and Engg.
