On Friday, the Telangana government declared that those who violate traffic rules and have outstanding fines will receive discounts of up to 90%. The public can clear their challans via the E-challan website between December 26 and January 10, 2024, according to a notice from the administration.
These savings are offered in light of the massive nationwide Lok Adalat on December 30 and was overseen by the Telangana High Court. The percentage of challans is broken down per vehicle category in accordance with the directives.
TSRTC buses and push carts are required to pay 10% of the challan cost, with a 90% waiver. In the meanwhile, drivers of two and three wheels must pay 20% of the total amount due on their challan, with an 80% waiver. The waiver is 60% for heavy-motor vehicles, such as trucks, and light-motor vehicles, such as cars and four-wheelers.
