Many girl students’ parents who belong to SC (Scheduled Caste) category are engaged in daily labor, agriculture, and other work. Whose financial condition is very bad? So they don’t even think of their daughter’s education.
To help the parents the government of Maharashtra introduces the scholarship scheme popularly known as the Savitribai Phule scholarship only for girl students belonging to VJNT and SBC categories who are studying in class 5th-7th.
The scheme is dedicated to preventing less class attendance and encouraging students to attend classes more regularly.
Through this scholarship scheme, the Social Justice & Special Assistance Department, Govt. of Maharashtra provides Rs.60/- per month to SC girl students for 10 months in an academic year.
This scheme is implemented by the Social Welfare department only for the students belonging to the VJNT and SBC categories.
Students must belong to one of these categories (VJNT/SBC).
No parent’s income limit.
Only eligible for girl students.
Girl candidates who are studying in 5th – 7th class in any Government recognized school.
Scholarship Amount:
• Girl candidates of class 5th – 7th will get Rs.60/- (Sixty) pm for a total of ten months.
How to Apply for the Savitribai Phule Scholarship?
Students do need to apply online or offline to get the scholarship. The Headmaster of the school should submit the VJNT & SBC girl students list to the concerned District Social Welfare Officer, Zilla Parishad of the concerned district for scholarship sanction.
Renewal Application:
Students must pass last year’s exam in order to renew the scholarship application.
Documents Needed:
The students applying for the scholarship do not require to submit the documents for fresh/renewal applications.
