Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship (PSMTS) 2022-23

Online applications have been invited from eligible students studying in Class-XI for the award of Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship (PSMTS) 2022-23 to the top 1000 students having proficiency in Mathematics and studying in Odia medium institutions affiliated to CHSE as per the schedule detailed below.

Objective:

The Government of Odisha in School & Mass Education Department is awarding the ‘Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship’ to provide financial assistance to the meritorious Higher Secondary School Students of Odisha studying in Odia medium and having proficiency in Mathematics Government / Aided / Recognized Institutions.

PSMTS Eligibility Criteria:

• The scheme is applicable to students reading in Odia medium Higher Secondary Schools.
• There shall be no income criteria for the award of this scholarship.
• A student may enjoy more than one scholarship at a time including PSMTS.

Merit Criteria for Selection:

• Online validation of student records by the Head of concerned Higher Secondary Schools.
• The final selection list of 1000 students will be drawn in terms of aggregate marks plus the marks secured in Mathematics in the HSC Exam.
• In case of a tie, the position of the candidate shall be determined by the mark secured in S.C.P.

General Criteria:

1. This scheme will be implemented online under State Scholarship Portal Website https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in.

2. The list of Top-2064 HSC Examination 2022 passed out students provided by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha will be published in the State Scholarship portal for online application by students studying in higher secondary schools affiliated with CHSE.

3. Validation of online applications by the Head of the Institution is mandatory.

4. After receipt of the validated applications, the Director of Higher Secondary Education shall award the scholarship to the top 1000 students.

5. The scholarship will be disbursed to the selected applicants through an electronic transfer of funds.

6. The Scholarship will be not renewed if the student discontinued/ fails to qualify for promotion to the next higher class.

How to Apply?

• To apply visit the official website https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in.
• Click on the registration button.
• Enter your Aadhaar number.
• Check your registered mobile or email to get the user ID and password.
• Click the login button at the portal and enter your User ID and password.
• Provide all necessary details like personal, academic, eligibility, and bank details.
• Then click “Next” to save and proceed further.
• A preview of the completed form will appear on the page.
• Download the forms and take their printout.

Duration and Renewal:

A student eligible for the scholarship will be paid for 10 months in a year. Scholarship awarded to any student under Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship is renewable if the awardee qualifies for promotion to a higher class, which will be authenticated online by the concerned Higher Secondary School.
