Shivraj Singh Chouhan is an Indian politician and the 17th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, born on 5 March 1959 in Sehore district.
Education Qualifications:
M. A. in Philosophy from Barkatullah University
Political Career of Arvind Kejriwal:
- Chouhan was elected as MP in 1990 by Vidisha Constituency.
- He served as Member of Committee on Urban and Rural Development, Member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of HR Development till 1997.
- Later appointed as General Secretary of BJP from Madhya Pradesh.
- Again in 1998, he was re-elected as Mp and appointed as a Member of the Committee on Urban and Rural Development.
- Shivraj was a member of the Committee on Agriculture from 1999 to 2000.
- He was appointed as National President of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha.
- Later appointed as Chairman of House Committee and National Secretary of Bhartiya Janta Party.
- Shivraj also served as a member of Consultative Committee, Ministry of Communications, member of Committee on Agriculture, member of Joint Committee on Offices of Profit, Secretary of Parliamentary Board, member of Committee on Ethics, and National General Secretary of BJP.
- Chouhan was chosen as a CM candidate in 2005. His party won the elections and he become the Chief Minister.
- Previously Chouhan was elected 3rd more times in the past at the same position.
