Maharashtra Ration Card Status Details and Application Form Online

Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs came into existence in the year 1965. It is one of the important part of Agriculture, Consumer, Food and Cooperation Department. Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs mainly deals with the demand and supply of several essential commodities in the market and (PDS) Public Distribution System.

The objectives of the Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs is to strengthen the targeted PDS – Public Distribution System. Various Essential Commodities at reasonable price and storage facility for PDS.

Government of Maharashtra State announced the list of new and old ration cards or food security card). All the new and old ration card application status details are available online. Applicants can now check the status through online from the official portal website http://epds.nic.in/nic-scbpdsMAHA/epds or check the status from the link given below.

PDS-Public Distribution System:
The Maharashtra State Government under the minimum common needs program provide food grains at subsidized rate to the poor families. For BPL Yellow Ration Card Holders state government will provide 35 Kgs of Wheat and Rice and 15 Kgs of Wheat and Rice for APL Saffron Ration Card Holders.

Ration Card Type: Antyodaya Anna Yojana Card (AAY), BPL-Yellow Ration Card, APL -Saffron Ration Card and White Ration Card.

Antyodaya Anna Yojana Card (AAY): In Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) scheme the Maharashtra State Government offered 35 Kgs of Wheat and Rice. Wheat at Rs.2 per Kg and Rice at rate Rs. 3 per Kg only to the AAY card holders.

Eligibility Criteria for Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY):
Widows, ill persons, disabled persons, 60 years persons or more with no assured means of social support. Primitive Tribal Households such as Madia, Kolam and katkari. Leprosy patients or recovered leprosy patients and HIV/AIDS patients.

Eligibility Criteria for Yellow Ration Cards:
• Families who have annual income of Rs. 15,000/- (Fifteen Thousand).
• Should not be a Doctor, Lawyer, Architect or CA in the family.
• Should not be a tax payer, sales tax payer or income tax payer in the family.
• Should not have the residential telephone.
• Should not have 4 wheeler vehicle.

Eligibility Criteria for Saffron Ration Cards:
• Families whose annual income is less than 1 lakh rupees.
• Should not keep 4 wheeler such as Car, Jeep, Van or Bus.
• Should not have 4 hectare irrigated land.

Eligibility Criteria For White Ration Cards:
• Families whose annual income is less than 1 lakh rupees.
• Should not keep 4 wheeler such as Car, Jeep, Van or Bus.
• Should not have 4 hectare irrigated land are issued white ration cards.

How to Apply New Ration Card Online:
• Go to official website http://mahafood.gov.in.
• Click on “Online Application for New RC”.
• Enter the name of head of family.
• Select the state Maharashtra.
• Then select the circle.
• Enter your mobile number.
• Select district and village.
• Soon you will receive the OTP.
• Enter the OTP and click on submit button.

Required Document to Upload Online:
• Upload photograph and Enclosure in GIF or JPG Image format.
• Aadhaar Card or Driving License or Pan Card or Voter ID Card or Passport.
• Telephone Bill or Electricity Bill or Water bill and Old Ration Card.
