LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme for students who belong to the economically weaker section of society for pursuing higher education. The scholarship scheme is to be awarded for studies anywhere in India in a Govt. or private college.
It will also offer technical and vocational courses in the Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the NCVT of classes at the graduation level.
The main objective of the LIC scholarship scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections so as to provide those better opportunities for higher studies and thus improve their employability.

XII Class (Intermediate) passed students who are interested to complete higher education in the field of medicine, engineering, or graduation in any discipline and diploma in any field. Vocational courses through Govt. recognized Institutes or courses in ITI.
Students must obtain at least 60% marks in the 12th class (Intermediate).
Students selected under the ‘Special Girl Child’ category must obtain 50% marks in 11th std to become eligible for a renewal scholarship.
The parental annual income of the students should not be more than Rs. 2, 50000/-.
Selection of students will be made on the basis of their performance in the 12th / 10th Class and family background check for parental annual income.
Not more than one student in a family can apply for the scholarship.
Students must be regular in attendance.
If a student violates any rules and regulations the scholarship may be canceled by the competent authority.
The amount will be transferred directly to the Bank Account of the scholarship holder through NEFT.
The scholarship will be provided for the entire duration of the course.
