The TS Epass Pre-matric and Post-matric Scholarship (PMS) is one of the important welfare measures of the Government aimed at providing financial assistance to the students of weaker sections, disadvantaged classes, and minorities to pursue post-matric courses.

The government of Telangana state is sanctioning pre-matric & post-matric scholarships every year for the benefit of lakhs of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Class, Economically Backward Class, Minorities, and PWD students.
The Telangana Epass scholarship scheme is operated on a saturation basis wherein all weaker sections whose family income is less than Rs. 2 lakh are eligible. To ensure the correct scholarship distribution, the TS government has issued comprehensive guidelines that are being approved and disbursed as per the guidelines only.
Electronic Payment and Application System of Scholarships (e-Pass):
The Telangana government introduced the online system for sanctioning scholarships to SC/ST/BC/EBC/Min, and PWD students, assigning the responsibility of online approval of PMS through the Electronic Payment and Application System of Scholarships developed by them.
The PMS is fully administered through an online system wherein the tuition fee reimbursement is made directly to colleges and the maintenance fee is made directly to the student after due verifications into respective bank accounts. Hence the name ePASS.
The online process on the e-PASS website includes registration of colleges, filing of applications by students, scanning, and submission of documents of the student applications by the colleges, verification, and sanction of the amount by the department.
This perhaps is one of the most complex and large-scale projects of its kind in India. The overall positive impact of the project has helped in sustaining the initiative in a transparent and accountable manner leading to good governance in the administration of scholarships.
Direct payment into bank accounts, increased accountability and transparency, and reduced risk of corruption have raised the perception of good government among citizens, thus bringing a lot of credibility to the Government’s image of making poor students become a part of the mainstream education thus contributing to the overall development and making economic growth truly inclusive.
TS Epass Scholarship Scheme Details:
Organization Name: Social Welfare Department, Government of Telangana
Students who belong to SC, and ST categories and whose family income is Rs.2 lakhs or less.
Students who belong to BC, EBC, and Disabled categories and whose family income is Rs.1 lakh or less.
The attendance of students should be 75% in each quarter.
Non-Eligible Students for TS Epass:
Students who belong to other than SC, ST, BC, EBC, and Disabled categories.
SC and ST applicants whose family annual income is above Two lakhs rupees.
BC / EBC / Disabled applicants whose family annual income is above One lakh rupees.
Individuals who are pursuing part-time or online courses.
Students are admitted under any sponsored quota or management quota seats.
Students of BC / EBC and DW students who are studying the courses offered by the open universities, distant education mode, and category B seats in M.B.B.S and B.D.S.
Economically Backward Class students studying inter or any equivalent courses.
Eligible Courses:
Post-matric courses that are approved by the concerned Board or University having a duration of one year or above:
Group I:
Professional courses.
Group II:
Other professional and technical courses
Group III:
Degree courses (which are not covered in groups I and II) and NIFT courses.
Group IV:
Inter, ITI / ITCs, and Vocational Courses.
Timeline:
Students should submit the application online within a month from the admission date and the last date to apply for fresh and renewal application is 31st December 2023.
Then click on the “registration button” to fill out the application form.
Enter all your details correctly (name, address, education, bank details, etc).
Upload the soft copy (scanned) of all required documents.
And finally, Submit the application form online.
Once you successfully submit the form, you will get your application number to check and track your application online.
TS Epass Scholarship Application Renewal:

Required Documents:
To avail of the scheme, each eligible student shall apply online on the e-Pass website with all relevant particulars such as:
Enter the application number, academic year, SSC pass year, and SSC pass type
Enter your date of birth, and hall ticket number, then click on the Get Status button.
This way you can check your application status online anytime.
Complaint or Grievance Submission:
If students are facing any kind of issues while applying like applicant registration issues, application verification issues, etc can submit their complaints or grievances online on the E-pass portal. Last Date:
31st December 2023 is the last date to apply for the Telangana Epass scholarship scheme 2023-24 online.
