Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minority Students (2023-24)

The Welfare of Minorities announced Pre-matric Scholarships for Minority Students 2023-24 who are economically weak and need scholarships for studies every year. Eligible students may apply by submitting a scholarship application online from its official portal website https://scholarships.gov.in.

A pre-matric scholarship scheme may encourage parents/guardians from minority communities to send their children to school regularly. This scheme will be a chance to fulfill their education which is one of the main aims of this scheme, this will also improve the social and economic conditions of the minority community.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

For 1st class to 10th class students.
For students who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their last final exam.
Their parent’s annual income should not be more than Rs.1 lakh from all sources.
Muslims/Sikhs/Christians/ Buddhists/ Jains and Parsis.
30% scholarship shall be reserved for girls.
Scholarships will be given for the entire course.
The maintenance amount shall be given for ten months.
The scholarship shall be discontinued if he/she fails to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the annual exam.
No more than two candidates from the same family can apply.
The student shall not be eligible to avail of any other scholarship other than this.
