Apply Madhya Pradesh (MP) Scholarship Scheme for SC, ST, OBC 2023

Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh invites online applications regarding MP scholarship for students belonging to the scheduled castes (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST), and other backward class (OBC) categories.

The benefit of the scholarship depends on the annual income of the student’s family, institution, course, course fees, fee capping, etc. The main objective of the scholarship scheme is to give financial support to inspire talented and meritorious students of rural areas to pursue higher qualifications.

Scholarships will be awarded every year for the eligible students who pass the board of intermediate exams at Rs.500/- pm for 10 months. All eligible students should visit the scholarship portal page frequently for important notifications regarding scholarships and other welfare schemes.

Students from other states can also apply for the scholarship as per their state Government rules through their state government’s official website and submit a downloaded copy to the registry office. The last date to apply online for fresh/renewal applications will be notified on its website.

Students are required to maintain attendance at 75% and above for scholarship renewal. For less than 75% attendance scholarship will not be renewed and sanctioned by the Government. Similarly, students have to maintain good discipline and a clean record. The scholarship may not be sanctioned to those students who have a very poor disciplinary record.

MP Scholarship

MP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

  • PMS Scholarship is only applicable to students belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories.
  • Whose parent’s annual income is not more than Rs.500000/- will be eligible for a 100% scholarship.
  • Whose parent’s annual income is not more than Rs.500500-600000/- will be eligible for a 50% scholarship.
  • Students should be permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh.
  • The student must obtain at least 60% or above marks in the board of intermediate education examination.
  • Scholarships are given every year up to Rs.5000/- per annum.

Income Band Information: 

From Rs. 250000/- to 300000/- and the Percentage of Course Fee is 50%.

How to Apply for MP Scholarship Online?

All students are advised that if you have your user ID earlier on the post-matric scholarships (PMS) portal then you may log in with it and apply for PMS schemes. Do not generate another ID or register again.

The students of SC / ST / OBC can register themselves on the MP scholarship portal, after which they can apply for the benefit of the scheme by logging in from the registration ID on the portal.

Upload the necessary documents such as photo, caste certificate, income certificate, mark sheet, copy of bank account, etc.

After filling, out the online application students are required to submit their hard copy to the registry office with all the required documents.

A late receipt or incomplete application form will not be accepted. Students are advised to keep a copy of their downloaded application form for their records.

  5. Simply enter your applicant ID
  6. Select academic year
  7. Click on Show My Application

  • Now select your institute
  • Click on the search details button
