IGNTU Scholarship Scheme for Research 2021-22

The university offers award fellowships, scholarships, studentships, grants, medals, and prizes. The IGNTU organizes and conducts refresher courses, workshops, seminars, and other programs for teachers, evaluators, and other academic staff.

The IGNTU makes special provisions for the promotion of educational, and economic interests, and the welfare of the members belonging to the scheduled tribes by providing an adequate percentage of seats in the matters of admission of posts in the matter of employment and other benefits.

The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University has the power to grant, subject to such conditions as the university may determine, diplomas or certificates, and confer degrees or other academic distinctions on the basis of examinations and evaluation.

Or any other method of testing on, persons, and to withdraw any such diplomas, certificates, degrees, or other academic distinctions for good and sufficient cause and to organize and to undertake extra-mural studies, training, and extension services and confer honorary degrees or other distinctions in the manner prescribed by the statutes.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent subject from a recognized University/Institute with 60% marks and 55% marks for SC/ST category
2. Have a valid GATE or CSIR-UGC-NET (LS/JRF) qualification (as per the DST norms)

Benefits of the Scheme:

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated fellowship of up to INR 31,000 per month for the first two years (JRF) and INR 35,000 per month for the third year SRF.
