CCRT Scholarship Scheme Application Form 2022-23

The main objective of the scholarship scheme is to encourage children 10 to 14 years of age to study in any recognized schools that will be eligible under this scheme. Children who belong to families who practice traditional & cultural art forms are eligible for the scheme.

The Centre for cultural resources and training (CCRT) issued application forms to the students who are eligible for cultural talent search scholarships.

CCRT scholarship forms are provided for talented students whose age will be 10–14 and who want to grow their talent in cultural fields such as music, dance, drama, painting, sculpture, and crafts.

The center for cultural resources and training provides the total number of fresh scholarships to be awarded every year will be 620, of which 100 scholarships are exclusively reserved for tribal culture (those who possess a valid ‘ST’ certificate issued by the competent authority).

125 are reserved for children of families practicing traditional performing & visual arts, etc., and 20 for differently-abled (specially challenged) children. The remaining 375 scholarships will be treated as general scholarships.

Guidelines for CCRT Scholarship:

  • A candidate shall not receive any other cultural stipend from any other source without the foregoing approval of CCRT.
  • There is no state/UT-wise quota for the grant of scholarships under the CTSS Scheme.
  • All disputes and complaints including court cases etc. related to the CTSS scheme will be settled within the jurisdiction of the Delhi High Court only.
  • The Centre for cultural resources and training reserves the right to introduce at any time such changes in the terms and conditions of the scheme as may be found necessary to serve the objectives of the scheme.
  • The candidate should not apply or receive any other scholarship grant from any other source during the tenure of the CCRT scholarship awarded to him/her under the above-mentioned scheme without the prior approval of the CCRT.

Scholarship Duration:

The scholarship is provided initially for 2 years and shall be renewed after every 2 years till the completion of a degree or up to the age of twenty years, subject to maintaining good progress.

If the progress card is not submitted half-yearly on time or the progress of the candidates is unsatisfactory for the following two times, then the authority may discontinue or cancel the scholarship.

Training:

The selected students will be called for training either in an appropriate institute for academic studies or training in the cultural field. The decision of the Centre for cultural resources and training on the selection of the course of study and teacher will be final.

Where a child is required to shift to a new station and get admission to a new institution for specialized training, a letter from the Head of the Institution along with the date of admission should be furnished to the CCRT.

Also where a change of the Guru becomes necessary due to unavoidable circumstances, prior approval of the CCRT for a new Guru/Instructor justifying the reason for the change must be taken.

Scholarship Amount:

The scholarship amount will be Rs.3600/- per year. The total amount including the actual fee paid for the training to the Guru/Institution and the value of the scholarship as permissible will be released on a half-yearly or yearly basis, only upon receipt of the detailed half-yearly progress reports.

All payments of scholarships shall be made directly to the parents/guardians of the scholars. The parent/guardian is required to arrange for training of his/her ward under a professionally qualified and experienced artist in the field of scholarship who will send a joining report agreeing to impart training to the candidate, in the prescribed format.

Progress Report:

The parents/guardians will be required to send half-yearly progress reports of their son/daughter/ward to the CCRT, in the prescribed format available on the official website www.ccrtindia.gov.in after obtaining it from the institution/Guru regularly under which the scholarship holder is placed for training.

The progress report for the first half-year from Jan to June should reach CCRT by 15th July, and for the second half-year from July to Dec, by 15th Jan of the next year positively. If the progress report of the student is continuously unsatisfactory for the two times or not received in time, then the scholarship will be discontinued and the decision of the CCRT shall be final.

A certificate issued by the Headmaster/Principal of the recognized school/college where the candidate is pursuing his/her academic studies, to the effect that the scholar is a bonafide student of the Institution, must be obtained and submitted to CCRT every year, till the completion of the scholarship.

Age Limitation:

The student’s age must be 10 to 14 years. In exceptional cases, the lower age limit can be relaxed up to 2 (Two) years. In the case of children of parents practicing performing arts, the condition regarding attendance at school for academic education will not be imposed at the time of application.

But in the event of their selection, they must attend a school for academic education and their scholarship will be released only upon receipt of a proper certificate from the Head of the Institution, which they will join for pursuing academic studies.

The payment of the scholarship will start from the date which may be specified by the center or from the date on which the admission is obtained in the approved course in an institution or with the approved Guru, whichever is later.

In the case of those studying with the Guru, the date of commencement of studies under the CTSS scheme will be the date of commencement of the course.

If any change of Guru/Teacher is necessary due to unavoidable circumstances in the future, then the parent/guardian must take the prior approval of the Centre for cultural resources and training justifying the reason for change as well as submitting all the pending documents to be signed by the previous Guru/Teacher, otherwise, the change of Guru/Teacher will not be approved.

The scholarship will be discontinued immediately with a condition for the parent/guardian to refund the total scholarship amount disbursed to date.

In case the scholarship holder discontinues the training before the expiry of the period of scholarship without prior approval of the CCRT, the Centre shall have the right to cancel the scholarship and get a refund of the total amount spent on the scholarship holder till that date.

How to Apply for CCRT Scholarship?

Candidates who find themselves eligible can apply by forwarding the application form in a prescribed format. You can download the form from the official website of the organization which is www.ccrtindia.gov.in.

Fill out the form with all mandatory details, and attach all relevant documents and the required number of specimens of the latest work. Application forms complete in all respect must be submitted at the below-mentioned address. It will be rejected in case of postal delay or incomplete.
